Carlson introduces its RT4 rugged tablet data collector
Information form Carlson Software
Carlson Software has released the RT4 tablet-style data collector, a rugged handheld and offers performance increases from its predecessor, the RT3, and backed by the company’s technical support.
The RT4 has a new quad-core Intel Pentium processor that offers the speed and flexibility specialists running processor-intensive applications need in the field. Additionally, the system memory (RAM) has been doubled to 8GB to allow more demanding tasks, larger files, and more programs running concurrently.
The tablet comes in with an IP68 rating and meets MIL-STD-810G test procedures, meaning it is waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof – ensuring protected data even in harsh environments.
The Carlson RT4 is designed for land surveyors, contractors and GIS mapping professionals. It runs Windows 10 and comes bundled with Carlson’s SurvPC Windows-based data collection program – with the option of running with the Esri OEM program for use in the field.
