Information from senseFly
Fixed-wing drone manufacturer senseFly has launched the eBee Ag, the latest addition to its eBee X drone series, to help farmers, agronomists and service providers capture aerial data and plant health insights for agronomic decision-making that can improve crop yields and profit.
The eBee Ag can help agriculture professionals overcome the challenges they face in the field related to planning, plant health and crop monitoring. Suitable for intensive and repeated crop mapping missions, it is useful for field scouting, ground-truthing potential problem areas and gaining crop health and field information.
The drone comes equipped with a standard battery capable of up to 45-minutes of flight, while an endurance battery increases flight times to up to 55 minutes so as to cover more than 160 ha in a single flight. The drone features the company’s new Duet M dual-sensor fixed payload, comprising the senseFly S.O.D.A. RGB and Parrot Sequoia+ multispectral cameras. Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) functionality ensures mapping precision that can achieve an absolute accuracy down to 2.5 cm with the RGB sensor. This location data can then be integrated into GPS-enabled machinery and/or farm management systems.
The eBee Ag comes with an eBee X series backpack, as well as senseFly’s eMotion flight planning software, technical support and resource offerings, including an in-house team of experts, a global distribution network and the company’s newly launched Academy e-Learning Training Platform and Certified Operator Program.
