Topcon-accredited service centre relocates to Woodmead

Information from WorldsView Technologies

Following WorldsView Technologies’ acquisition of Precision Device Distributors in 2020, the newly established WorldsView Service Centre – the only Topcon-accredited service centre in South Africa – is relocating to WorldsView House in Woodmead, Johannesburg.

The company provides services to a range of measurement professionals from land and engineering surveyors to mining, agriculture and forensic experts. The new location will improve service capacity, expanding the centre’s service area through a network of partners around the country, and allowing instrumentation used across Southern Africa to be collected and serviced. It will open to clients from 15 March 2021, while technicians will continue to service instruments during the move.

Factory-trained technicians service customers’ Topcon equipment according to the Japanese-quality standards it was built. The centre accommodates instruments including manual and robotic total stations, 3D scanners and GNSS instrumentation as well as accompanying tripods, prism mounts and levelling staves in a thermostatically-controlled, anti-static environment.
