NavVis releases Ivion as a new scan-to-BIM platform for digital factories
Information form NavVis
NavVis Ivion, formerly known as NavVis IndoorViewer, is a new spatial data platform for owners, operators and contractors to transform buildings and assets into digital models accessible via a standard web-browser. It is not a standalone product, but a product family consisting of two components: NavVis Ivion Core and Enterprise.
Ivion Core is a reality capture platform for laser scanning and AEC professionals, enabling them to manage their 3D scans with tools for creation, collaboration, and publication. Core transforms point clouds and panoramic images into digital models. It lets users process, register and publish scan data online, where they can inspect and measure models or use it for planning. The platform extends the use of 3D scan data by providing teams and clients access to the complete point cloud data from anywhere.
Ivion Enterprise is designed for factory planners and engineering teams, allowing stakeholders at every level to remotely access and interact with realistic digital twins of their factories. It supports factory planners and engineering departments to understand, collaborate and make decisions based on-site conditions they can trust. Stakeholders to explore best practice scenarios, remotely engage suppliers, and accelerate their time to market.
Ivion Go, a module for Enterprise, is a mobile app (iOS and Andriod) connects the shop floor with the digital world with AR positioning. The app enables operations and maintenance managers to sync information and tasks with their physical context and location. Users can log observations, issues and best practices to then share, discuss and track progress with their colleagues. The app is scalable to industrial environments and does not require special infrastructure or hardware.
