The third Africa Regional Science, Technology and Innovation Forum will be held in a hybrid format in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo. It will take place under the theme “Building forward better: towards a resilient and green Africa to achieve the 2030 Agenda and Agenda 2063”, and it will precede the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development.
The event is co-organised by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), in collaboration with the African Union Commission and the Department of Science and Innovation, South Africa.
It will explore and facilitate interactions, matchmaking, cooperation and partnerships among stakeholders to drive technology development and transfer, and create regional innovation networks for co-learning and co-creation, and for sharing experiences. It will also identify and examine technology needs and institutional voids that should be addressed, as well as showcase public and private sector efforts deployed to accelerate the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2063.
