AfCPA 2020 aims to connect the science and practice needed to put precision agriculture in action for Africa by providing a pan-African platform focused on highlighting new advances in the fields of experimental and applied precision agriculture. The event is an initiative of the African Plant Nutrition Institute (APNI) in partnership with the International Society of Precision Agriculture (ISPA).
Conference topics include precision agriculture for field and plantation crops, climate smart agriculture, applications for drones/UAVs, satellite imagery, proximal and remote sensing, and decision support systems. It is aimed at scientists, crop consultants, agronomists, producers, policy-makers, service providers and other practitioners of precision agriculture.
The conference will have a multiple site format, with multiple concurrent tracks taking place at the host site (Marrakech, Morocco), and the main program simulcast to a network of satellite sites throughout Africa, including Cote d’Ivoire, Togo, Burkina Faso, Kenya, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
