This year’s Data Science Africa (DSA) event is themed Women and Data in Africa. In the tradition of previous DSA events, a summer school on machine learning and data science will precede the main workshop.
The DSA Kimberley Summer School is hosted by Sol Plaatje University, in Kimberley South Africa, and will be held virtually. It is aimed at graduate students, researchers and professionals working with big data or unique datasets. To benefit from this course participants must have some background in programming particularly programming with Python and machine learning.
The DSA Kimberley Workshop will consist of oral presentations of data science applications from academia and industry and interactive panel discussions.
